Out of all my friends in high school, I have always been known as the "worker". I take every assignment, from as small as a homework problem to a big as a research paper, and devote all of my time to making it perfect. Throughout high school, I was faced with several challenges regarding the difficulties of classes and being able to balance my busy schedule. However, with my work ethic and the techniques I have developed over the years, I was able to overcome these obstacles and be successful. My days in high school revolved around my homework and studying. I would come home from school and not even think about what to do; I would go upstairs to my room and being my homework. Both Rachel and I were never told this was the proper way to get good grades, but we were independent and figured out a way that worked. Rachel and I would study for hours to reassure that we knew the information on tests perfectly. We would spend our nights testing each other on endless amount of vocabulary words and fancy French terms. I do not only have a good work ethic when it comes to school, but in everyday life as well. During my junior year of high school, my work ethic was noticed and I was awarded Student Of The Month. This award is of great prestige throughout my high school and is given to students who work hard and help other students in need. I am extremely honored to be a recipient of such an outstanding title.
This past summer I had the opportunity to explore my passion for advertising, and interned at RODE Advertising. Even though I was an unpaid intern, I still arrived to the office on time, if not early, and completed all of my assignments with complete devotion. I always asked my boss if there was something I needed to do around the office and was always working. This internship was a great way to to show my work dedication to work that is given to me and to show my work ethic. My work ethic definitely stems from my parents. Both my parents love their jobs and give 100% of their time and energy into making sure they get done what's important. My dad always makes sure his patients are receiving the best care and is always there to check up on them. My mom is always checking her emails and arranging meetings throughout the office to make sure everything is going smoothly. I unquestionably developed my work ethic from both of my parents and I could not ask for a better character trait!
